I rent an apartment and was looking for an easy way to hang fairy lights from the concrete walls and ceiling of my balcony. I wanted to avoid drilling holes for the anchors but also needed something strong as I'm on the 19th floor and have strong winds and rain. Bought these to try and they work great! Make sure you follow the directions, especially before wiping the area with alcohol. Some clamps came loose initially, mainly due to the fact that the surface was uneven in those places. I replaced the sticky pads and moved the clamp to a flatter spot, which seems to have worked. I used a clamp for each foot, which is more than the recommended 2 feet just to be on the safe side. The lamps have been standing for 3 months, so I am very satisfied. I've also used them on aluminum balcony railings with no problem.
