This fingerprint reader works very well once set up but requires a little more effort to get started. Most USB devices are plug-and-play capable. This means that after connecting the device to the computer, the necessary drivers will be installed automatically without any additional effort. However, this device requires you to go to the manufacturer's website and install it manually. Sure, it's an easy process for someone with minimal computer skills, and there's a manual in the box, but it's a somewhat unnecessary step that could have been avoided. After setup is complete, however, the fingerprint reader works fine, allowing me to log into my computer from almost any angle with a quick, light touch (assuming you move your finger correctly during Windows Hello setup). Very good value for money. I am a cybersecurity professional and I strongly recommend that everyone invest in a fingerprint reader or other biometric login device instead of a password to protect their devices.
