I bought these to have a non-toxic, food-grade, BPA-free container for foot detox (as I'm very sensitive to toxins of all kinds) and they work great! I thought it was too much water, but I found that this amount of water actually keeps the foot spa warm and makes me feel good as I twirl the water around my feet. We actually used another one to help prepare raw food for our cats (raw food is the only thing that helps them avoid health problems) - it's a nice size, makes vitamins easy to mix, easy to scoop. in small freezer containers. Also, we give them a little banquet before packing them into containers. We used to use 5 gallon buckets but I didn't realize they weren't food safe. I feel much better using this for cooking.
