Okay, but there is a bright spot in the middle

They seem to be fine after a few days. I have a number of earlier versions of these bulbs that I love because the light looks absolutely even throughout the bulb. This version has a hotter spot in the middle. And they can also look slightly out of round when lit...the design of the lamp seems to be that there is a glass outer layer and a frosted layer underneath, and they kind of warp a bit when lit. But it is not so bad. Dimming works well.
