Everything works but the LED stuck out and was very sharp.

Works great but can you believe the LED was dangerous? It was slightly protruding and had very sharp edges. I can easily imagine someone getting a small cut while working on a laptop so I had to use a simulation file to fix that but other than that everything works great in the W540. The disk does not have to be ultra-thin. A regular 2.5" SATA hard drive will fit and slot in just as well as an ultra-thin or SSD.
