As a hesitant buyer, I purchased these coasters for my home bar... As a result of my tests, I determined that they absorb liquid poorly, leaving rings on my wooden furniture. The design is cute but not worth the price. On the plus side the size fits standard glasses, but in all honesty, I've seen better quality coasters in the Industrial and Scientific category..
