Review on Sennheiser HD 600 Professional Stereo Headphones - Open Dynamic Design for Hi-Fi Audio (Black) by Shaun Jdi ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is top notch, be sure to try it.

I was not going to buy this model, I planned to buy a beyerdinamic 250, but after listening and comparing, I gave preference to these particular ears. They sit perfectly on the head (at first it was a little tight, but then they worked on and now it is almost imperceptible) and please with a wonderful sound. But here's the source of the problem: now there is a Creative x-fi xtreme gamer Fatal1ty audio system, of course, the sound on the line output is so-so. On another computer, there is M-audio revolution 5.1, that's where the sound is what the doctor ordered: the scene is deep, localization is clear, distortion is minimal, the dynamic range is wide. In the future, I plan to buy asus xonar essence one and connect it via coaxial to x-fi, for these headphones it’s the best. PS: after several months of warming up and listening at the same time, the increased color of the copper cymbals is gone, the sound has become smoother and, unfortunately, more dry. More and more I notice the lack of a good amplifier and DAC, headphones are very demanding on the source. When buying these headphones, prepare for further spending, otherwise they will not reveal themselves.

Pros
  • Detailed, smooth, uncolored sound (almost) Excellent dynamics and deep stage, wide dynamic range and even excess power
Cons
  • "Copper cymbals are more sonorous than necessary", although I even like this performance, a flimsy wire is included, all the shortcomings of the source are perfectly audible
