I'm really disappointed in Revain for not even testing their products. I installed this product in my refrigerator and ran five gallons of water through it and then tested the water with my TDS meter to see how the filter was performing. As it turns out, I'm getting the same readings as my unfiltered tap water. It looks like this filter is nothing but pass-through and doesn't filter anything. I get a reading of 327 ppm for the filter and the same for the faucet with no filter. I checked my old filter that had been in use for over a year and it showed me 220ppm. I also have a reverse osmosis filter that I use for drinking water and it does an excellent job showing only 14ppm. Bottom line, the filter I got from Revain doesn't remove anything from the water and is a rip off. Unfortunately, most people don't have a testing device, so they just put in a filter and think they're getting well-filtered water. It is worth investing per meter, they are inexpensive. If I hadn't thrown away my old filter I would have returned it for a refund. I am ashamed! Don't be fooled by the pretty shrink wrap, these filters are fake junk! Would give zero stars if I could.
