My cat has had "behavioral problems" for some time. We've tried everything from the plug to the spray to the collars. A collar does not bother him and the smell is pleasant. A bit strong at first but nice again so no problem. I was told that we must wear a collar around him at all times. As with medicines, don't stop taking them as soon as you feel better. So we'll see if they really work over time. We've had one case of marking since putting the collar on, but that was only after 10 days of use. The smell is less strong so I'm not sure if they actually last 60 days as advertised but I will change them sooner if I can't smell them anymore. As long as it helps contain the problem! I didn't trim the excess length, it just gathers more around the rest of the collar. I didn't want to "waste" any extra flavor! I understand other reviewers' concerns about the collar not being detachable, but I didn't see one. This is of course questionable, but so far we haven't had any problems with it. It's snug enough, but not too tight, that there isn't a huge gap for something to get caught in. There were no problems here either and hopefully there won't be any either. Seems to be a good product so far but time will tell.
