Basically a code reader similar to the more expensive Actron, but with a clearer screen and simpler format. It works live, scanning and extracting codes with no issues. My friend is a mechanic and has worked on a lot of used cars at a dealership. This works great as a multi-thousand-dollar snap-on alternative when you want to receive codes and watch live streaming, but don't need to tamper with the input. Oil gauges don't reset, and you can't use it to change data (like gas, fuel trim, etc.), but if you need a decent code reader and want to see data, this is a great half-price option. some famous brand code readers that do the same.
