The screen becomes quite transparent once you remove the protective case. The shield barely covers the face area as the sides come down to the front of my plaids and I have a smaller female face. The slit at the top was too far from the forehead. As soon as I applied the screen protector, one of the plastic latches started opening and the plastic screen fell off. The idea was good, but the shield failed.
