My graphics cards (EVGA 1080Ti and now EVGA 2080Ti) only have one HDMI output and 3 DP outputs. Since my TV and soundbar only connect via HDMI, I needed an adapter. Going from my computer to the Bose soundbar and then to the TV gave a max frequency of 30Hz so I needed two HDMI cables so I had 1 cable for the TV (and 60Hz) and one for the soundbar. It also gives me the ability to listen to music while reading content on the internet and much better sound when watching movies etc compared to TV speakers. but the cost of the adapter was minimal, and the video and audio content was top notch. There are now several "standards" for HDMI cables. So be sure to spend a few euros more for 18 gps and higher versions (4k and 8k are possible). READ THE FINE SEAL before you buy HDMI cables. My last three Revain purchases took about two weeks to ship due to (I guess) fewer people working. I don't blame those who stayed home. I didn't go out either. It really looks like Upton Sinclair's The Jungle. Go to work and literally die, or don't work and starve (and die).
