Ok, I've wanted to do this for a long time. I have cat food in my bedroom and a tray in the toilet. I use a baby gate to keep dogs out but it's a pain. Also, I can't close the door to hide my messy room. I've been talking about this for a while and I'm glad I did! It was the perfect size, too small for a dog's head but big enough for a cat. Installation was pretty easy. The lip of it allows you to not be entirely accurate. I was actually able to use a box cutter with a new blade and cut through my cheap hollow door with little more than minimal effort. If you have solid doors this can be more of a challenge. I love how they lock and you can set them up to only open one way. Not sure why you need this setting. If they can be ended, wouldn't you want them back? But it's there when you need it.
