I've recently started making items out of polymer clay, mostly jewelry. It's strong and flexible once cured, the colors blend well, and the one-pound packs are a boon for people like me who use large quantities! Gold is one of the colors I use most, and while I wouldn't say it looks metallic, it can definitely be identified as a "gold" color. I wouldn't use it for finds as it still looks like clay and not metal. It is what it is so it shouldn't be a problem but I've seen people think it should replace metal because it's a gold color but it doesn't.
