Covers cannot be removed without tools and will damage the disc, very slow writing speed, USB error writing to two of the five discs received. I was tired of constantly looking for a flash drive to transfer files to someone or make a quick copy, so I found this cheap set of 5 to keep a few pieces on hand that I don't want to give away . First the most ridiculous part, the covers! These little covers are *impossible* to remove by hand. What seem to get in their way are the little protrusions on each side of the disc. The tongue should slide into the appropriate groove (for alignment I presume?) but instead gets stuck. With disc 3, I got down to a 30 second removal process, using a small flathead screwdriver to pry each side until the clear plastic separated from the disc. This makes each slice look like it has been chewed by a small dog. In terms of speed, they are pretty slow for USB 2.0 drives. Actual copying speeds were under 30MB/min - a very painful wait when copying multi-gigabyte files. Finally, in the 6 months I've been using, at least two drives have failed completely - writing to those drives resulted in USB errors. (on multiple systems). Garbage. Save yourself the hassle and buy another one
