Review on 5MP Action Camera Vari Focal Distance by Colin Arcos

I made the mistake of buying this unit without an IR filter to save money and I'm sorry. You can buy an IR filter for $10, but what size will you get? This freeze is not worth it. It still works without an IR filter, but the colors are wrong. Even without a filter, the picture was MUCH better than with the standard Akaso lens. The Akaso V50X beats the GoPro Hero 8 out of the water with this lens, you just need a little extra room to put the camera further back. This picture isn't far enough back and the camera is about 4 feet back. Maybe 7 feet would be better. My only complaint is that it can be difficult to focus because you can't just screw it all the way in because of the plastic M12 mount. This works much better in a CS mount camera with an adapter.
