I used to use beard oil but never tried beard balm so I decided to give this kit a try. Brush/Comb: I have a tough beard but I haven't used a brush and don't know how to use it on my beard, the comb works well and feels good in my hand. Oil: Should be unscented for me as my girlfriend doesn't like the smell of musky or too much cologne so it met the requirement well and left it shiny and soft. This makes it a bit greasy compared to other oils. Balm: I liked the balm! It gives you more softness and care like butter but prevents it from being blown away by the wind. It's not hard like a gel. Smells natural. Scissors: They were sharp and worked well. A solid gift for that bearded guy in your life I agree :)
