Unsigned drivers, unsigned application, didn't work

My first impression of this product was bad and then got worse. Neither the driver nor the manufacturer's video capture application are signed, which means Windows refuses to install them. After a long search on the internet I decided to try the installation despite the risk. Both the driver and the application required a reboot after installation, which is not normal for Windows 10. But the most interesting thing is that I finally got through all this and connected my HDMI source (another computer) to the device. , it did not work. It just says "no signal". I tried connecting an HDMI cable to the monitor and it worked as expected. There was a signal. The dropdown menu in the app that allowed me to select the video source was empty and I suspect something was still not quite right. At that moment, however, I gave up. I've tried getting it to work on Linux as well, to no avail. This device does not support UVC, so your system will not see it as an input device without special drivers. I could not find any drivers for the device or its chipset. I do not recommend this device.

Pros

Cons
  • Mostly ok, but...
