Looks like a very high quality 12 AWG PV cable with double insulation and tinned copper strands. I think it's aluminum wire, but it's not. I can understand the confusion because the tinning makes it look like aluminum wire. However, when I expose the cut to sunlight, I see copper. The copper wires are tinned if they are likely to be exposed to water - as if they were used for a permanent installation on a rooftop solar array - because they offer greater resistance to corrosion. I can also tell just by the weight of this wire that it's not aluminum. A similarly sized coil of aluminum wire weighs very little. Two 9m PV cables are supplied with M4 connectors on one end and an optional kit to use when building a system or simply expanding an existing system. BTW I stripped one end of the wire and it fits perfectly into my solar controller connectors. In my opinion 12 AWG should be fine for most installations, but if you are using a large array of very high power solar panels you can go as high as 10 AWG or even more. Of course, everyone should consult the table to find out exactly what to use in your particular circumstances. This is actually overkill for my purposes, but I can add more panels later. So I am very pleased with this quality PV cable and connector kit and given the price of copper today I think the asking price is excellent. !
