I ordered this last year when I switched to indoor training so haven't had a chance to test it in the cold yet. I rode in 32F weather today in 20mph winds and this liner worked great! Most of the time I didn't even realize it - meaning it wasn't too hot, not too cold and not too sweaty. I used to use headbands meant to cover my ears and I've always had problems. when they went up exposing my ears to the cold and I had to periodically lower them while driving. This balaclava did not have this problem. In fact, the only negative thing I can say about it is that it left a dent in my forehead an hour into the ride, which probably looked a bit weird walking through the office. I have no hair to hide it! It would be better if there was no seam in this place, but you shouldn't deduct a star for that.
