This is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. After a month of battling a car that had an intermittent code P0442, I bit the bullet and bought this car. While this machine isn't as flashy as the more expensive smokers I've used during dealer servicing, it produces more than enough smoke to properly test the vehicle's EVAP system. I set it up according to the instructions that came with it and found a nicked o-ring on one of the quick connect lines in less than five minutes. It's pretty cool to have a tool that pays for itself immediately. On the other hand, ignore the people who have complained about the smell that the smoke gives off when using this machine. Mineral oil eliminates odors when heated to a high enough temperature to vaporize. The smell is mild and no different from what famous smoking machines give off. You don't need to air your garage or light a candle to hide the smell for a week after using this device.
