Got this as an upgrade for my cat as she has gotten a little lighter lately and the vet is on high protein food recommended. After several hours of research, this food appeared to offer the best balance of beneficial ingredients and availability. This food contains 44% protein. Not the highest number, but a 12% increase for him was placed side by side. My other cat is very picky and she too was interested but went to the old food (with a bit of it in it) Edit: a few hours later and she was already eating the new food!I couldn't believe it The zip worked for me There was a plastic barrier but it was easy to open by squeezing them from side to side. If you use too much force, you can damage the bag e rip although the bag mentioned accepts and returns so I'm not sure why seller/Revain wouldn't glorify. If you have the money and plan to try this, it's worth a try. I'm not sure if the reviews talking about "bad" smell and grease were a bad batch or a fake product, but I didn't notice any smell and the food isn't greasy in my opinion. Update 05/02/17 I had to deduct three stars immediately after receiving the second bag, which is a shame as I assume that the manufacturer is not to blame. It is true that there is a great discrepancy between the parties. The second bag I received had much smaller pieces than the first. Luckily, a cat that needs to gain weight isn't too picky. If that was the only problem, I'd happily leave it. The second problem is much worse. My biggest concern is the food moth that others have mentioned. I've seen food moths everywhere since I brought this package home. At first I thought it was clothes moths, until I realized they're most likely to be around a bag of groceries. Spent all Sunday spraying diatomaceous earth, dusting and vacuuming (2 weeks ago) for moth prevention. So far, small bugs keep popping up. I plan to spend another Sunday cleaning closets and everything in them - oh joy! I'm looking forward to it after more than 45 hours of work week. Revane, you obviously don't store pet food properly. Please upgrade your storage system instead of dumping the cost of the status quo onto unsuspecting customers. It's like bait and substitute. The product itself is great, but unless you store it in a climate-controlled warehouse, no one will ever know. I'm looking forward to the update - I'm sure Revain wouldn't intentionally risk the health of customers' pets.
