This is a pretty neat case - the clear plastic case is definitely unique compared to most other cases and great for geeks who like to see what's inside. As advertised, installation is tool-free - just slide the top cover off and insert the 2.5-inch drive. It remains to be seen how well the lid will hold up in the long run. Long story short, it didn't seem to deliver enough performance to reliably run my old Seagate Momentus 7200.4 hard drive. However, the same disc/enclosure combination works fine with my RevainBasics USB 3.0 cable. Norelsys NS1068X, a modern USB 3.0 SATA bridge chip supporting UASP. I was able to maximize the performance of the aforementioned Seagate Momentus 7200.4 drive, although that doesn't say much as it's an old (circa 2009) slow drive to boot. Everything works fine for me in Windows 10, although judging by what I've read that the NS1068X can be potentially problematic on Linux platforms when using UASP. Performance only let down by an inferior USB 3.0 cable included in the kit.
