We have 3 cats - one of them is Maine Coon and he is huge and strong. I'm so tired of how quickly I have to change the cardboard in the scratching posts/toys we have. We have these plastic round box and ball combo toys (with the ball lying on its little treadmill around the outside of the round box in the middle). Cats regularly rip out the center piece, pieces of cardboard are flying all over the place and they still can't get enough use out of the scratching area because the whole plastic circle just slides off when they try to scratch it. So! I looked VERY deep into Amazon to try and find a simple scratch board to ride around town on. I also wanted them to be able to sit on it so their weight would hold the board against their strong little claws. it should be cheap because c'mon, it's just cardboard. are. super all 3 cats love them they regularly sit in boxes they can scratch as much as they want because their body weight holds the board - our giant cat fits in perfectly because the box holds all the rubbish there are 5 paper plates in the box which actually means 10 ( because they can be flipped). there, and they devote all their sharp dagger energy to the box. It's also nice because if it rains we can easily bring it back inside. If you have a box that fits the scratchboard, you can use that as well (we bought two of these, plus a random box of the right size). so we put a notice board there).
