Review on ๐Ÿ Enhanced Performance Mizuno LR6 Volleyball Knee Pad by Daniel Revlon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great knee pad that doesn't take the whole game to fiddle with!

I originally posted this review on my blog but after buying my second pair of these shoes I thought it was time to review them here! I've been playing volleyball for 20 years, including my first school volleyball. I still play competitively and thought I'd share the details of these knee pads. I sincerely believe that you should consider the position you play when choosing knee pads, although in the end you will likely come to the same decision no matter what position you play. Personally, I tend to roll excess fabric onto my knee pads to keep them from moving while playing. I've had too many issues in the past where I've had to dive multiple times during a rally and the kneepad offerings changed and got a massive bruise somewhere on the last dive. Whether I play libero or bet, I dive a lot. The package says "Choose a VOLLEYBALL KNEE PAD that fits your height and athletic goals" so I think I got something. ;-) Some people like to wear knee pads that have lots of knee pads covering all sides of the knee. I mainly focus on the sides, but I also use the top/middle a bit. I don't like it when it's too busy because I have to run all over the place, so too much padding slows me down and forces me to use my knee pads even more. Convenience: When I have to play back-back games, I don't want to tear them down mid-game. You will feel like a second skin. The packaging says "wearing VOLLEYBALL KNEE PADS too tight can slow blood flow to that area of the body" so pay attention folks. You might like your spandex or shirt to fit snugly around you, but that's a bad idea when it comes to knee pads. Design: The design is great. They should have consulted real volleyball players before producing this because it's practical and everything that usually drives me crazy about knee pads seems to be missing from them. I'm running around the court like crazy and we're still not winning), but some people might prefer even more padding and a longer knee brace. When you don't need it, it offers great support. Colours: They come in traditional white or black, but also come in black with bright yellow trim on top and bottom, lime green with pink trim, baby blue and yellow. Trim and pink with blue trim. Although I love bright colors, I'm not a fan of bright knee pads, but that's the way it is. I like it when everything is coordinated so I guess I'm always careful with my volleyball attire? Pros: They don't roll as much as some other knee pads, so they stay in place during long games. They also don't seem to smell like some other brands. (Have you ever been in a volleyball crowd after a game when everyone takes their knee pads off? PU) I tossed them in the washing machine and let them air dry and they held their shape and dried pretty quickly. The main thing is that they do their job. When I dip into them, it doesn't hurt! Cons: Not a con for me, but some people might not like its short length. The entire knee pad is only 6 inches. It was hard for me to say anything bad about these knee pads. They are amazing! TL; DR: These knee pads are great if you like a shorter design and don't need bulky knee pads. They are affordable for their quality and come in a variety of colors.
