We were looking for a litter box that would help control loose dirt our cat snuck out of the litter box. It worked fine for the most part. It is a nice size so our large litter box can stand on the mat and there is room for our cat to get on the mat. Our biggest problem is that our cat urinated on the mat due to stress. Urine dripped down to a size and since the mat wasn't sealed on the sides, the foam absorbed the urine. I washed it and hung it outside for a few days and it was fine but still had a harsh yellow color where the foam was contaminated. This then happened two more times and the carpet still had a lingering smell despite trying to wash it. I had to throw it away. So if you don't have problems with your cats, speak of accidents, then this will work great for controlling loose dirt.
