The microphone has decent sound quality, if a bit quiet. This microphone uses USB 2.0 and has an additional headphone jack so you can hear yourself speaking into it. I would like USB 3.0, but it is not absolutely necessary. The only downside I find for this mic is that it picks up a lot of ambient noise. I was using this in the office and it caught someone typing across the room on a keyboard. This won't be an issue for any conference, but it will be an issue for a player using a mic. If you plan to use it to stream alongside your keyboard, you'll need to change a few microphone settings to ensure you're not picking up keyboard noise.
