Bought this travel water bottle for an intended trip and will try before the trip. Love the idea and they fold down to a handy and compact size when empty. I filled one and chilled it in the fridge before drinking and it tasted great. I like the feel, although it takes a minute to get used to the "jelly" feeling as the bottle empties and the walls flex. I also half filled one and left it in the freezer, then added water and the result was ok. I've found that the easiest way to freeze water in a partially filled bottle is to place it in a mug to keep it vertical so the neck doesn't get blocked with ice. It is comfortable to drink from these bottles, if desired, they can be squeezed into the mouth. The flip top is surprisingly efficient, allowing you to squeeze the air out and close the lid and the bottle keeps its smaller shape. While durable, I wouldn't recommend packing a filled bottle in your luggage - it defeats the purpose, but it's a good idea to keep the bottle cage in your backpack, upright in your carry-on, or clipped to your bag with a carabiner - I went through security after you. The silicone loop is a nifty little device used to hold a folded water bottle together.
