Review on Acer FreeSync Monitor - 165Hz, 1920X1080 Resolution, Wide Screen, ‎UM.QV0AA.S03, HD by Adam Hayes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

First on Amazon with 24 " resolution, 144Hz and IPS. It does the job well enough

Sorry I don't have a solid suggestion for color calibration. You may have to wait for results from professional monitor checkers like rtings(.)com and others. Pros: - No dead pixels on arrival (this depends on the client) - Freesync works when Overdrive is in normal mode, not in extreme mode. You have an analogue joystick that adjusts your monitor settings - IPS at 144Hz, 1080p and 24 inches - it's amazing (why this monitor gets the most points) - VESA compatible - Better than TN and VA panels (colors don't see looks so good) bright compared to TN and VA panels) - HDMI 2.0 is ok - colors are acceptable out of the box. Cons: - Monitor build is cheap and a bit flimsy, but Acer cuts it here, so build is more economical at 144Hz - Overdrive in Extreme does NOT work. with FreeSync enabled (my experience may be different for you) - NO PAN or HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT ON THE STAND - it's a 6-bit + FRC panel with only 250cd/m2 brightness (but I don't notice much color loss) - gamers aesthetically, although it's a bit much, personal preference. - Doesn't come with display port cable - IPS bleeding (but that's just a predisposition of IPS panels, not a bug if you know what IPS issues are) - When VRB is enabled in normal or extreme mode, the brightness drops significantly. The real score would be 3.5 if I was an option. Despite the many cons (there are more cons than pros) I think Acer did a good job with this budget monitor as the main advantage of this monitor (IPS 24 inch 144Hz) works well enough to ignore the issues this monitor has. If you want color accuracy on a 24-inch 144Hz IPS monitor, you'll have to wait.
