Review on Avery Dennison SW900 321-O Matte Orange Supreme Wrapping Film Vinyl Vehicle Car Wrap Sheet Roll - (12&#34 by James Dominick

I've been a carpenter for 30 years and am therefore used to complex, highly qualified, careful work with complex products. After carefully watching a series of product videos demonstrating how 'easy' it is to wrap vinyl on a car, I was confident we could do it. Even duplicating the methods used in the video and purchasing the special tools NOT INCLUDED turned out to be a complete disaster on our nearly flat FJ Cruiser (see photo). It doesn't look too bad from about 20 feet away; NOTE NOT TO SHOW THE CLOSE-UP PHOTO. There are small bubbles and wrinkles that you just can't get rid of, no matter how much you smooth them out with the "application tool" or heat them up with a hair dryer - also not included in the scope of delivery. In some of the videos, they show the guys stretching vinyl over the intricate curves and geometry of a small car. When we attempted to apply it wrinkle-free to several slightly curved spots on our FJ Cruiser, it left embarrassing 6-foot creases (see photos). They showed the guys stretching the vinyl over some of the curved areas, but when we tried to stretch it it completely deformed and the wrinkles got worse. The directions card that came with RVinyl includes 10 small drawings of a smiling man that read "1 measure, 2 clean, 3 plan, 4 cut, 5 clean, 6 apply, 7 heat, 8 cut, 9 stick, 10 wrap, Thumbs up !" So simple, it's just amazing. Or a complete lie. Also, I ordered a total of 11 of a specific size to fit all parts of our FJ and only 6 were sent in 2 tubes, which came with no packaging size sheets were delivered were in. Upon unboxing we saw that they were marked with greasy fingerprints and repetitive stains. Once unpacked it is almost impossible to get them back in the tube. We spent over a month fitting RVinyl to this bring to send the missing 5 pieces which were NOT CHEAP and what we paid for the smallest 2 pieces arrived but we were still short of the 3 we paid for a ber never received and have not been refunded. NON RETURNABLE. We had to collect enough scrap to cover the center of the roof as we left it partially bare to cover the visible parts of the car with what was sent to us. Despite numerous emails and phone calls to RVinyl we still have not received the rest of our order and have not received a refund, in fact we are COMPLETELY IGNORED. But now we have an entire car covered in crumpled vinyl. we are angry
