Review on Carlson Quality 7825 Caliper Piston by Quintin Gore

This product eliminates the need to constantly replace calipers after the warranty period has expired. They (the remanufacturers) reuse almost every piston they can salvage. Used pistons like this product look good but may be out of round or have small surface imperfections that are not visible to the naked eye. I am writing this review about 3 years after the caliper restoration. This S-10 came back to me for new ball joints and other front work. Checked the rear calipers - no leaks! I always prefer to restore some elements myself, then I control the quality. I also prefer to rebuild the CV axle with a torn boot, but the internals are still fine. Most stores will sell you a brand new axle made in China to make things easier. But these parts are not built like the originals. Take the time to learn how to repair inner and outer CV joints with a new boot kit. The work will take much longer! And just wait for new tariffs to increase prices on those Chinese parts.
