I was in Mexico on my honeymoon last week and bought this mask before I left. For as long as I can remember I have had problems with water getting in my right ear and not getting it out. I thought it was due to a small perforation of the eardrum, but a few years ago I was told that was not the case. But the water gets in my ear and won't come out, and I end up getting an ear infection and hearing problems until the water is removed. But I also like to dive when the opportunity arises, so I didn't want to be held back. So I bought this mask and also a set of vented ear tips as a backup. While on the trip we dived as planned and I used this mask. It fit very well and kept my ears dry as I fell 45 feet into the ocean. I've never had to scrub water out of my ear cups. The only issue I had was water getting into my mask but that was because I have a beard. After applying Carmex to the mustache, the problem was solved. I look forward to diving again soon, getting certified while keeping my ears dry!
