Review on Power S1334 Performance Calipers Front by Ryan Lawson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Lots of work to make it work

Lots of powder in places where it shouldn't be. lousy disguise work. QA did a lousy job figuring that out. There was so much powder on the holder that the pads didn't fit. Razor blade and file until the anti-rattle clip floats the pads. Also, copper washers don't fit on a banjo bolt. Too small to put the flange on the screw. Better than no calipers but if I wasn't a mechanic and had a lot of experience with powder and crappy coating work I'd have to send them back. Sealing after a pile of junk is covered in powder is difficult. Not to mention that it is not safe for the ignorant. I didn't buy them because of the red powder, but because they were the only calipers I could find on Amazon that were out of stock. Now I think I know why. I'm also not sure why they are called "performance". At best, they are misleading. These are stock Honda Reman calipers with red powder. Unless the color red somehow makes them stop better. Boo-uu!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
