Printer rejects them

I was able to bypass all of Canon's error and warning messages to be able to use this black cartridge, but I couldn't bypass it with a color cartridge to save my life. Very clever of Canon to get you to use their brand. If I was more tech savvy I might have figured it out more easily, but things like this make me nervous. I pay a little more for the Canon brand so I don't have to worry about my blood pressure.
