I bought this strap along with another leather strap that was about $10 cheaper. There is no comparison in terms of quality and the little extra for this harness pays off in terms of value! You can tell it's made of beautiful and durable leather to last a long time. The leather is thick and stretchy, unlike the second strap which is very thin and quite stiff. The clasps on this strap are stiff and I would trust them with the heaviest bags. The cheaper strap has a very odd design, the buckle is about halfway down the strap so it lands on the shoulder. Super uncomfortable! And did I mention the smell?! Whatever this leather is made of, it stinks horribly! I will definitely keep the NJ Co strap. It smells nice and will accent a variety of bags beautifully. Save yourself the headache (literally, lol), pay a little more, and get 10x the bang for your buck. I will definitely be returning the smelly, uncomfortable strap.
