I am sure that the strap of a shoulder bag for tall people can serve its purpose. But at 5ft 10in the holes in the webbing don't go far enough to pull the webbing high enough for my bag to rest on my back. Instead, the length of the strap is so long that the bag hangs from the butt. While the webbing appears sturdy and thick and has a nice brown color to match its image, the strap also has a few scratches and appears to be fraying on the side of the leather. This strap meets my expectations for a khaki bag with brown leather trim. The only downsides for me are the open tan edges that are unfinished and the edges are rough. I need to smooth them out with a fine polish and then paint them brown. The band is not flexible enough for my taste. So I need to apply the leather trim and make the leather strap less stiff. Otherwise the tape is fine, I will keep it and use it.

This strap is great! It fits perfectly in my purse and is very comfortable. It distributes the weight in such a way that I don't even know if I'm wearing it. I can download it and it doesn't bother me at all. It doesn't matter whether I wear it over my shoulder or on my shoulder. The workmanship is wonderful, soft enough to be comfortable but strong enough to hold its shape. The buckle doesn't bother at all, and I think that's the ideal length for a person of any size. I'm 5 feet 2 inches.

Initially I LOVE this shoulder strap. And this leather strap MUST last forever! But then the metal hook, which had been used normally and had not been abused in any way, was pulled from its mount rendering the strap unusable. Promise. I really wanted to love this strap and it looked REALLY good for two years when it arrived. But now the briefcase it was attached to (a 25 year old leather briefcase, btw) has to be carried by the handle INSTEAD of a strap. And that's disappointing.

I bought this strap along with another leather strap that was about $10 cheaper. There is no comparison in terms of quality and the little extra for this harness pays off in terms of value! I am very impressed with the quality of this strap. I have previously bought a replacement strap for my very heavy wallet (over £5 most days) but the clasps broke literally within a day of receipt.
