The bookcase I received met my expectations for what I ordered. No surprises. The bookshelf is delivered disassembled and can be easily unpacked. Components are marked clearly and residue-free. All components are listed in the enclosed illustrated instructions. The kit contains a replacement part for each type of attachment. The frame was assembled in less than 30 minutes. It took another 10 minutes to shred and recycle the packaging material. Most of the material consists of recyclable cardboard. The rest of the material is foam, part of which is recyclable. The strong foam corners of the packaging box and a couple of foam panels that separate and protect the metal and wood parts are not. Shelf rails and frames are anodized steel with a smooth matte finish. Machine welds appear to be sufficient. No defects in fit or finish were found. The individual parts of this bookcase, tubes and shelves are strong, the assembled bookcase is solid. The included 7-page booklet contains annotated step-by-step instructions in English, French, Spanish and German, accompanied by clear illustrations to help with assembly. The bookshelf is a relatively easy project. The finished bookshelf is a simple, attractive and durable addition to our home.
