For the price these are quite nice. It flits on and off pleasantly to music, has a nice range of non-sound activated modes, and the timer and dining features are a bonus.There is a black button on the USB connection that is a secondary on switch and that lets you flip though the modes. It's handy if you are plugged into an easily accessible spot like a desk lamp.I didn't have too much trouble unpacking them - each strand was looped in a circle and tied off to prevent tangling across strands. I'll be sure to store it that way as well since it worked so well.The joints where strands meet the main line are reinforced and look sturdy. I didn't worry about any pulling or stress on them from wall clips. The hanging strands are a bit more delicate looking, but so far have not been a issue.If I wanted another string for decoration I wouldn't hesitate to order a second set.
