Colors are as bright as the picture, high quality material, satin on both sides so it won't snag or possibly rip your hair out. The only caveat is that if you don't have strong hands, the long cords come loose, causing the hood to slide over your head. I have washed this hat in the washing machine and used the dryer without damaging the hat or losing color. Overall this is a well made hat that fits my sisters very well in the lower back length.
