Review on Epson Projectors Electrified ๐Ÿ’ก ELPLP58 V13H010L58 Replacement Lamp with Housing by Pedro Hague

It works, it's bright but the screws don't fit

We have an Epson EX5200 projector and the Epson OEM bulbs seem to last about a year with normal use. We ordered this lamp because of its reasonable price and it arrived quickly. The outer plastic casing of this non-Epson lamp is identical to the original Epson casing therefore metal hanger/handle and connecting screws are included. The lamp fits snugly into the projector with a solid connection to the electrical connector that powers the bulb. My only issue is that the two mounting screws are not the right size to screw the bulb into the projector! It doesn't bother me too much as the bulb fits securely into the electrical plug with just the body and it works fine. (If I were to turn it upside down, I'm sure the lightbulb would still be thereโ€”even with the lid open.) But the included screws are too small to screw into the EX5200. With a bit of effort, I was able to easily reuse the old screws from the old lamp. The lamp is bright and in fact appears to be as bright or even brighter than my original one. No flicker. Image quality is excellent! Let's see how the light bulb lives. I'll update this review later when he dies, hopefully in at least a year.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly
