Not very convenient for the elderly
With age, nails become thicker and more difficult to trim. Elderly people are also less mobile due to arthritis or back problems and find it difficult to reach their toenails. These cutters are not as comfortable for small hands as they are for a small woman. The mechanism requires more strength than an elderly person with arthritis in their fingers to cut a thick nail. The tips are also too thick and therefore more difficult to get under the nail in order to position it for cutting. Hence the higher mediocre rating. This will probably work well for someone under 60.
