Review on Timbuk2 4915 3 1244 Vert Backpack Amber by Dianna Kay

Small but effective

I use this bag for school and to give you a general idea of how much I put in this bag I will list my daily carry list. I can put my Google Pixelbook and its soft case in the laptop bag. The Pixelbook is very thin and smaller than a 17 inch bag and I think if it were a little bigger I could only fit the computer itself. A standard-sized spiral notebook and folder fit in the same compartment. The second compartment fits two relatively small textbooks, my wallet, my pencil case and my sports clothes. I have to fold my gym clothes neatly and fold my purse and pencil case over the books. After exercise, I attach my extra clothing to the outside of the backpack. This compartment also has an organizer pocket. I only keep note cards in the largest pocket because the back is quite flexible and I don't trust things to stay inside. The pockets are very chic and I like the look of them, but the zip openings (other than the top pocket) are smaller than the overall length of the pockets so getting in and out can be a chore. I have two calculators (TI-89 and TI-30X) in my bottom pocket, my phone charger buttons on the right and some toys on the left. The middle pockets aren't very big and these are mostly limited by the size of the zip opening, but as said they look good. The top pocket has a fluffy lining and although it's quite large I only keep my phone in it as I don't know if anything else from the lining would be really useful. The water bottle pockets are surprisingly large. With a full backpack, I can still fit a Camelbak Chute 1L water bottle on one side and a Contigo thermos on the other. Nalgen could get up, but hardly. I like bright yellow, it's quite attractive and not too overpowering (think marigold yellow). The zippers are long and accessible. My only two issues with the design: They line the back with black accents but then leave the bottom panel of the bag light yellow, while the black panel here reduces the appearance of blemishes. Also, the top strap for lifting the bag is attached in such a way that only one end of the strap supports the entire weight of the bag, the only thing in the bag that I'm afraid of breaking over time. i love the bag I would have liked a little more room but it's only 22 liters and the bag I switched with was 40.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
