To be honest I can't remember how much I paid for this belt. It was under $10, I know that, which was almost right. The dark "scuffs" are intentional and meant to make the belt look frayed, so be careful before you hit "buy". It fits my 29″ waist quite well, although I don't get a chance to put it on my hips even with the Velcro fully stretched. But don't think the current price of $21 plus change is worth it! No, especially if you're buying this belt for an active kid who will most likely break it in a matter of hours.
