This wooden model uses a VERY OLD standard handle/light. They are easy to replace. The main downside is that the screen is lit by a regular incandescent bulb, so I'd go with an LED bulb, which also uses less power and is less prone to breaking or burning out due to "bumps". The cord is 14 ga and can carry more amps than any other device with a 16 ga cord, especially when using an LED bulb! Most "coiled" cables create a FIRE HAZARD as the wire is twisted inside the housing and eventually becomes hot from tightly wound coils! I experienced this in a production test environment where multiple devices were "daisy chained" together, pulling only about 4 feet of cable from each spool. Not only one caught fire, but several others had their wire coatings INSIDE the coils melted!
