This two piece child lock will keep doors or drawers closed effectively. Initial setup can be a bit tricky, so read the instructions before applying. Before applying, wipe the surface and make sure there is no oil or dirt on it. The 3M sticker is easy to stick on surfaces. Haven't tried taking it off to see how difficult it would be or if it would leave marks on the surface. The leaflet recommends not removing the barrier for 24 hours after application. We got this to keep pets out of the trash closet and it helped with very little investment. If you're looking for a baby closet/drawer lock that isn't a permanent solution (and doesn't require drilling holes), you'll be happy with the fact that it's visible (it attaches to the outside of the closet/drawer) and you don't mind sticking to a surface, then this is a great option for you.
