I bought a Leuchtturm1917 pocket magazine knowing it didn't have a loop. I guess not everyone always loses things like me! If my pencil (a Zebra M-103 mechanical) isn't physically attached, I'll never have it with me, so what's the point of carrying a notepad? The hinge is of good quality, as is the notepad. I can only judge the quality of the elastic loop if it hasn't moved from its attachment point. Here the pluses end. The price for this little piece of gum is more than I'm willing to pay. Almost as much as the notepad itself! It comes with all those stickers and magazine bookmarks (which I don't need) - why not a bow (which I absolutely need)? As others have said, the loop is very small. Forget using Dr. handles with them! Luckily, my zebras take a bit of work, but many of my wife's pens don't. However, a regular pencil or a classic bic will do. 2 stars for making people pay more once you get them hooked (and even then limit their writing instrument choices). jay
