I've tried other Wi-Fi smart home cameras and have always encountered issues ranging from difficult setup to poor image quality and app issues. I didn't have one with this camera. This is the perfect Wi-Fi camera for a non-techy person like me. Set up was an absolute breeze. The hardest part was figuring out exactly where to put it. I'm impressed with the picture quality. In night mode, the picture is as crystal clear as during the day, and night mode turns on automatically so I don't have to fiddle with anything. This is truly a plug and go camera. I have this setup in my living room so I can see what my teens are up to when I'm not home. The two-way audio feature is perfect when they're not answering calls. I like scaring them to death with it. They hear me well and I hear them too. Motion detection is sensitive so I never miss anything that's going on. The Vivitar Home app is easy to use and I love that I get push notifications straight to my phone to stay up to date. The best part of the whole camera is the FREE, I repeat, FREE cloud service that stores my footage. Unlike other cameras like the Ring, you don't have to pay for the camera to actually store the footage. I'm impressed with this little camera and the performance it offers. You can't go wrong with this WiFi smart home camera.
