I bought this to replace the running lights on my caravan. This product is designed in such a way that the lamp socket must be pressed against a metal base on the chassis (e.g. footrests). Since the pendant is non-conductive I had to solder a wire to the ground terminal to connect it to the negative return conductor. No big deal... The mounting holes for the new bulb lined up perfectly with the mounting holes on the existing chasers. The LED lamp assembly snaps into the mounting assembly recess. The frame is sealed so don't worry about water ingress - it should last longer than I did.
