Do not buy this item. Every time I buy something for my guinea pigs I wash it before giving it to them while doing it in gentle cold water and all I used was a free and transparent detergent. so no dying, no harsh chemicals, no smell, nothing, and i took it out of the washing machine and it literally fell apart. I replaced it one day thinking maybe it was just a defect of this simple product but no, every time it was replaced it did the same and when I tried to get a refund for it. They wanted me to spend more money to wrap it up and send it back so I wouldn't get a refund, I just threw it in the trash and took an L.
