This tripod head is a great entry-level tripod at an affordable price. This is the only one I've found that has a handle that can be used as a pan head, which can be used as a pan head, decent strength when panning. The headstock is removable and the grips are rubberized. You will need a 1/4"20 to 3/8" adapter if you want to screw it onto a standard 1/4"20 tripod screw. You won't find a better head for less than $30. As long as it's under $30 I would recommend it. For $60 you can find an entry-level ball head for professional use. This is a great replacement if you don't have a $60 mini pan/tilt tripod ball head.
